Cecelia's Christian Fiction Blog

A fun place to discuss Christian novels, the Bible, and writing-related topics. Although my focus is Christian fiction, I'll still talk about an occasional secular fiction title or an inspirational non-fiction book.

I think what you are doing is wonderful! So many of us get caught in a rut of only reading our favorite writers, that we forget there are so many other wonderful talented people out there. I used to only read Terri Blackstock, and was a huge fan, until I joined ACFW. I read a couple of books from people I met on there, and enjoyed them...but still preferred Terri. Then one day I picked up a couple of "Love Finds You" books for a friend of mine (written from here in Pa.) to read on her way back to Seattle. She was so excited she sent them back and said, "You have to read these!". I wasn't into romance, being old and too far along in life to believe in Prince Charming finding his GPS. In Loree Lough's Paradise, Pa. I found my faith and my willingness to be more Christ-like challenged deeper than ever before! As the old saying goes, "There is more to a book than it's cover...or title!". Now I read everyone, to see what message God has blended in for us. I tell everyone I talk to about the exciting cliff-hangers written by Mary Conneally, the laughes Deb Ullrick shares in her "Bride wore Coveralls", and the fun in Janice Hanna Thompson's "Love me Tender", and so many others. Anyone who limits their reading pleasure to one writer is living their life in one color and missing the rainbow! I look forward to reading your books and thank you for encouraging us to read a variety of talents. Thanks,
